Culinary awards bring great recognition to restaurants: it is a sign of the quality of their cuisine that undoubtedly attracts attention.
It is not the first time on the island that we have the opportunity to visit award-winning restaurants, but today we have news.
Two of our partners have been awarded a Sol Repsol!
What are the Sol Repsol?
It all stems from the Repsol Guide, a list of restaurants chosen by experts of different ages, genders and professions, far removed from the stereotypical elitist inspector. Their criteria is closer to that of the common diner, a differentiating element that they are proud of.
The scoring system is based on these Soles, and they are awarded based on the overall customer experience, obviously taking into account the gastronomy, but valuing the restaurant as a whole. Some additional parameters are also sustainability, zero kilometre, integration, circular economy...
Not only do they add new names to the list, but they also keep track of the evolution of those who are already part of the guide - there is always room for improvement!
Grades start at 1 Sol, and the end of the road is 3 Soles. In the Pitiusas we have 22 of them.
Re.Art: tapas in the heart of the city
This spectacular urban-style tavern is masterfully run by David Reartes, together with Matías Kelly, and thanks to itsinnovative tapas (without forgetting the traditional ones) this year it has been awarded 1 Sol Repsol.
Whether it's ham croquettes, Andalusian-style squid or more avant-garde options such as the upside-down egg with creamy potato skin and sobrasada, it's worth trying it all. If you don't get it the first time, come back again: you'll never tire of it.
If you visit them often, you will discover new options, as they adapt to the seasonality of the local products they use to prepare their tapas. Each season sets the rhythm of the menu.

The View: a culinary journey for your senses
In more ways than one, The View is a delight to taste, smell and also sight.
Starting with the breathtaking views of Es Vedrà and continuing with its refined dishes made with high quality local produce, it is no wonder that this exquisite restaurant has been awarded 1 Sol Repsol.
