On October 6, 14 chefs shone during a whole night of gastronomic delights, with the STK Ibiza restaurant as the setting, and the collaboration between Eating in Ibiza, the Consell d'Eivissa, Nuria Moreno and chef Óscar Molina.

The objectives

What drives the celebration of this event year after year is to position Ibiza in the gastronomic world, highlighting the local products of the jewel of the Mediterranean.

In addition, we must remember that it is a charity dinner whose funds are raised for the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer in the Balearic Islands.

High-level gastronomy and solidarity go hand in hand to create incredible memories in this second edition of Stars Against Cancer.

Our 14 stars

In addition to the organizers and collaborators, this dinner would not have been possible without the participation of 14 great chefs, from different parts of Spain.

As we already mentioned in our previous post, they accompanied us:

  • Samuel Naveira: from Ponferrada - CO-DO.
  • Carles Abellán: from Barcelona to Singapore - Tapas 24.
  • Paco Roncero: from Madrid.
  • Andreu Genestra: from Mallorca.
  • Óscar García: from Soria - Baluarte.
  • Álvaro Garrido: from Bilbao - Mina.
  • Rafael Soler: from Calpe - Audrey's.
  • Ignacio Solana: from Cantabria - Solana.
  • Luis Veira: from A Coruña - Arbore de Veira.
  • Pablo González: from Murcia - Cabaña Buenavista.
  • Víctor Martin: from Valladolid - Trigo.
  • Fernando Villaclaras: from Marbella - El Lago.
Each one contributed their grain of sand, their experience and the particularities of their region to the preparation of each dish, but with the focus on the characteristic products of our land.

The development of a magical night

Not only was a select menu enjoyed!

The Pagés “Sa Bodega” dance group started the event at 8:30 p.m., while attendees enjoyed a cocktail, local liqueurs and some starters prepared by the chefs, with Dalt Vila as a backdrop.

After this brief introduction, the diners took their seats to enjoy the best gastronomy in Ibiza, with live music, performances and a small surprise from the Ibiza Sports Union that greatly moved those present.

This second edition of Stars Against Cancer has left a great mark in the heart of the community.

Óscar Molina's role has been fundamental in bringing together 14 Michelin Star chefs; Without your culinary contributions and your expertise, this event would not have been possible.

Thanks to the Colla de “Sa Bodega”, to DiscoBandits, to the DJs Petit & Vázquez and all the people who enlivened an already magical evening; to UD Ibiza for giving away personalized t-shirts with the names of all the children hospitalized in the Pitiusas and to ASPANOB for appointing STK Ibiza as ambassador.

And, finally, many thanks to all those people who repeat the experience or who have been encouraged to participate in the second edition of this solidarity event.
